Delivery

Delivery to the UK, EU and Worldwide

We offer a range of delivery options covering the whole UK, EU and many countries worldwide, dispatched with major international courier companies. Please note that, in the UK (excluding Highlands), Next Working Day scheduled delivery refers to delivery on the day after dispatch of your goods, and not the day after the placing of your order.

Shipping charges stated at Checkout for orders which contain many items by the case will only be an estimate, as it may be necessary and/or cheaper to ship to you using palletized delivery. If we do decide to ship your goods on a pallet, we will contact you confirm both the final delivery cost and that your delivery premises are suitable for a large lorry with a tail-lift to unload.

We generally dispatch orders within 1 - 3 working days of receipt. If, for any reason, there will be a delay of more than 3 working days in the dispatch of your order, we will contact you by email to advise you of the reason for the delay and the expected day of dispatch.

We accept no responsibility for any frozen items ordered whatsoever as we do not use specialized couriers

Please note that delivery to some Scottish Highland and island areas often takes a minimum of 48hrs (two working days).

All delivery times cannot be guaranteed, and although we work with the couriers to ensure that deliveries are made on time, events beyond our control can occasionally mean that goods take an extra working day to arrive. Please bear this in mind when ordering fresh or frozen goods as, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the quality of these items when dispatched to non-UK Mainland (including many Scottish Highland) addresses.

During periods of extreme weather (snow, flooding etc.), or other major national/international disruptions, deliveries are likely to be (in some cases, severely) delayed. Delays may continue after conditions have returned to normal, due to backlogs at couriers' depots. During such periods we will place an advisory notice in a prominent position on our Homepage. Perishable (fresh/frozen) goods are ordered during such periods at customer's own risk.

UK delivery by the courier will take place at any time between 09:00 and 18:00. We unfortunately have no control over delivery and are unable to contact the courier to confirm exact delivery times. You will receive an automated email or text message when your goods are dispatched, and you will be able to track your parcel on the courier's website. If you do not see an email, please check your junk mail folder.

Unsuccessful delivery attempts by DPD may result in packages being taken to a local DPD DEPOT for customer collection. Packages will remain in the DEPOT for three days, after which they will be returned to us. Packages returned to us due to non-collection from an depot (for whatever reason) will be eligible for a refund of all non-perishable goods within, less a £10.00 return-to-sender charge, plus any applicable surcharges for packages dispatched to non-Mainland UK destinations.

Delivery charges are calculated when you checkout and are based upon your location and the weight of the goods in your basket. All charges are based on a maximum package weight of 20kg. A basket of goods amounting to more than 20kg will be treated as two or more separate packages, and the delivery charge will be multiplied accordingly.


On Receipt

On receipt of your delivery it is your responsibility to report any damaged or unsuitable goods as soon as possible or within 24 hours of receipt by Facebook or email if you fail to do so your claim will not be recognized,

Our packing process is Recorded by CCTV, and whilst every effort is made to ensure the safe arrival of your order TackThaiFood.com does not accept responsibility for damage caused by the Couriers during transportation, in the event of Damage to "Tinned" goods where the damage is only to the actual "Tin" and the goods are still in a "usable" condition and the seal is not been breached (opened), we will not accept any claims, all claims made will be investigated and the customer informed of the outcome, It is at the Discretion of the Company after a claim has been made, if the customer will be entitled to a refund.

Returns

Returns

If products are to be rejected or your order is to be cancelled pursuant to the Acceptance and Cancellation paragraphs of our Terms & Conditions, you will comply with the returns procedure as set out in this Returns section. In such circumstances we will accept any returned products provided they are in a re-saleable condition. Please make sure you contact us before returning/rejecting any item. Any item returned without our knowledge may not be refunded and may be subject to a Return Delivery Charge.

For goods dispatched but not yet delivered, or for goods to be rejected at the time of delivery, you will contact us by telephone or email at the address or number (as the case may be), set out in the Contact Us section of this site, with details of your original order number. Refunds for goods returned in these circumstances will be subject to the cost of the Return Delivery Charge, that being £10.00 per package, plus applicable surcharges for returns originating from non-mainland UK areas.

Goods already delivered may be returned to us via your local Post Office or your own courier. Please note that the items remain your property until we have received them. You are therefore responsible for your goods while they are in transit to us. For your own protection we recommend using a secure recorded delivery method. You are responsible for all return delivery charges. Upon receipt of non-perishable goods in a resalable condition, a full refund of the purchase price and an amount equal to our lowest delivery charge will be credited to your credit/debit card.

Faulty/damaged non-perishable products which are to be returned must be returned before the refund can be issued. When the return arrives back at our office it will be assessed, should it be concluded that the products are faulty/unfit for consumption, the return delivery charge and purchase cost will be refunded.

Whilst www.tackthaifood.com  offers Thai language translations to certain parts of this website for the convenience of many of our customers, we make no guarantee of the absolute accuracy of these transactions and, where any doubt may exist, the meaning of all information given in English will prevail.

Registration

To register to use www.tackthaifood.com  you must be over 18 years of age and must ensure that your details held by us are correct and complete at all times.

By agreeing to our terms and conditions and registering, you will automatically be signed up to receive information about our products or services. If you do not wish to receive such information, please unsubscribe from the link in our communications.

Password and Security of Your Account

When you register with www.tackthaifood.com  you will be asked to create a password. You must keep this password secret and should not disclose it or share it with anyone. You will be responsible for all activities and orders that occur or are submitted under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password, you should notify us by contacting info@tackthaifood.com   immediately

If we believe or have reason to believe that there has been a breach of your security or misuse of  www.tackthaifood.com, we may require you to change your password or we may suspend your account at our discretion.

Refunds on Promotional/Clearance Items

Refunds for goods purchased under a promotional offer will be based on the terms of the promotional price. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Once we have taken the payment for your order and dispatched all the items, we are not able to offer refunds for any discounted items with limited or expired Best Before dates.

If you choose to access this site from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws and customs regulations. Please note that many ordered items, particularly food and beverages, may be subject to inspection and confiscation by Customs departments and that import duties may be levied on all goods cleared for entry. Note that the purchaser solely responsible for the payment of any import charges imposed by the authorities in your country.

Due to the length of time that goods dispatched to non-Mainland UK destinations (including Scottish Highlands) spend in transit, we do not recommend the ordering of perishable (chilled/frozen) goods to such areas, and the purchase of these items is at your own risk.

Expiry Date on Payment Card

Please ensure that the expiry date of your payment card is after the date you place your order. Payment is taken when your order is ready to be posted and if the payment card has expired, we will be unable to take payment and fulfil your order.

Prices

We will make all reasonable efforts to present accurate information, but we cannot guarantee the price or our ability to supply any item.

All prices shown on www.tackthaifood.com are to be guide prices, and do not constitute an offer to sell. Formal formation of a contract and acceptance of your order only occurs once we dispatch your ordered goods from our store. Until we formally accept your order, placement of an order will constitute an offer to purchase.

Occasionally our suppliers may increase their prices unexpectedly, and this is often something we become aware of only upon ordering stock from them. If this occurs, or in the event of a pricing error howsoever caused, we will check with you to see if you still wish to receive the item at the new price. All prices include VAT where applicable.

Availability

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you. Please note that we will attempt to deliver substitute lines, should selected lines be unavailable, unless you request us not to do so. You can also select to have the item removed from your order if you do not wish to accept an alternative product.

Substituted lines will normally be of identical or higher value than the original item ordered. In cases where the replacement item is of differing value, you will be charged the lesser of the two prices. If it is impossible to substitute an item or items, we will remove the item(s) from the order and deduct the value from the total order cost accordingly.

Although we make the utmost effort to ensure complete accuracy when assembling your order, mistakes do occasionally happen. Should we mistakenly dispatch products which are completely different to those ordered, we will either offer a partial refund on the item(s) or, should that be unacceptable, will ask you to return the item(s) to us by the most economical method and, upon receipt in a resaleable condition, will make a full refund of both the original purchase price and the return postage cost to your payment card. We make no guarantee that we will be able to resend the original item ordered, this decision will be taken by in each case by Management and will be final.

Please note that we aim to dispatch your order within three working days of receipt. We may be able make alterations to your order only up to the point of dispatch.

Although we will always try to cater for your orders, an order of large quantities of a particular line or of items which are in bulky or fragile (e.g., glass) packaging can only be fulfilled at our discretion. We may therefore decide to omit some items in order to avoid the risk of either excess courier charges for oversized parcels, or the occurrence of in-transit breakage of many glass items.

Acceptance & Contract

There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we dispatch the goods to you. Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we dispatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. Now that the goods are dispatched (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us.

 www.tackthaifood.com is intended to be available for non-commercial and domestic use only. Whilst we guarantee that all items supplied will be fit for consumption upon delivery, tackthaifood.com Ltd accepts absolutely no responsibility for items which the recipient deems unsuitable for resale (for example, cosmetic damage to packaging or a Best Before date considered too short).

Frozen products dispatched to Mainland UK destinations may be partly or fully thawed upon delivery next working day, particularly if a package contains a small quantity of frozen items. It is recommended that such products are consumed within 24 hours and not refrozen. www.tackthaifood.com accept no responsibility for frozen orders and is at the risk of the customer

Payment

Please note that for online sales we take payment at the point of dispatch and not at the checkout stage.

Please be also aware that on some bank cards our initial check for sufficient funds, taken on receipt of your order, may appear like a payment on your statement. This is known as a 'Shadow Payment'. This amount is not taken by tackthaifood.com ltd, but taken by your bank and held, appearing like a transaction. We take one single payment on dispatch of your order and any amount held by your bank should be credited back to your account within a week. tackthaifood.com  online system allows for only one payment to be taken. If you have further queries about this shadow payment, please contact your bank.  tackthaifood.com ltd  will not take any responsibility should any extra charged be applied to you by your bank as a result of your bank holding onto your 'Shadow Payment'.

Chargebacks Please note that payment card chargebacks incur upon us a £20 fee from our merchant service provider. If we take steps to reclaim payments charged back by customers, we will also seek to reclaim this £20 fee in addition to other applicable Costs. 

Delivery

Any date or time period for delivery (e.g., 24hr) should be considered for guidance only (as delivery times are not guaranteed by the couriers), and not forming any part of a guarantee. tackthaifood.com accepts no responsibility for loss or inconvenience caused as a result of delays in deliveries by us or our suppliers and are unable to refund delivery charges in cases of late/delayed delivery. Orders cancelled or deliveries refused due to late/delayed delivery will be treated as described in the Cancellation/Returns paragraphs below.

All products are sent by courier of our choice and, upon delivery of the goods, the purchaser of the goods becomes responsible for any losses or damages arising as a result of their use however they may arise. Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form. We reserve the right to charge for any extra carriage costs incurred should the incorrect address by entered on your order. Until dispatch of your order please contact us to amend or add any delivery details  www.tackthaifood.com and our couriers can only be responsible for delivery to addresses in the UK registered with Royal Mail. Delivery cannot be guaranteed to any addresses inputted which are not registered with Royal Mail. Parcels to non-UK destinations will be addressed exactly as on the customer order. Courier delivery drivers are often not as familiar with local addresses as postmen. If a delivery address is difficult to locate, extra directions should be included in the Delivery Instructions box during Checkout. Confirmation of dispatch and tracking details will be sent by email or text message to the recipient of the parcel, and the recipient should monitor the tracking information supplied on the courier's website and advise us if goods have still not been delivered 24 hours after the stated delivery time in the message. It is the recipient's responsibility to ensure that the parcel can be received or left in a safe location. Unsuccessful delivery attempts by courier may result in packages being taken to a local courier Access Point for customer collection. Packages will remain in the Access Point for Three days, after which they will be returned to us. Packages returned to us due to non-collection from an Access Point (for whatever reason) will be eligible for a refund of all non-perishable goods within, less a £10.00 return-to-sender charge, plus any applicable surcharges for packages dispatched to non-Mainland UK destinations.   www.tackthaifood.com will not be liable for damage to, or deterioration of goods caused by unsuccessful delivery attempts by couriers. Packages returned to us by couriers after unsuccessful delivery attempts may each incur a £10.00 Return Delivery Charge, plus any applicable surcharges for packages dispatched to non-Mainland UK destinations.

You will inspect any products immediately upon receipt and you will be deemed to have accepted the products unless, during the period which commences on the day the contract between us comes into existence and ends on the expiry of seven working days beginning on the day after delivery of the products, you notify us, in accordance with the provisions of the Cancellation paragraph below, that the products are rejected or that you wish to cancel. If no such action is taken, we will consider the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their purposes, and may not accept any rejection or cancellation later. Any shortages, errors, damage or breakages MUST be reported within 24 hours. The packing of all orders is recorded by CCTV. Reports of errors, damage or breakage must be accompanied by photographs (one image per product), emailed to orders@tackthaifood.com. Your statutory customer rights are not affected.

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your contract with us at any time during the period which commences on the day that we dispatch your goods and ends on the expiry of fourteen days beginning on the day after the date of delivery of the products. Please note that standard cancellation conditions will apply regardless of the reason for cancellation - this includes packages rejected at the time of delivery. Upon return of the goods to us, a refund of the purchase price of non-perishable goods will be made to the original payment card, less a Return Delivery Charge (see Returns below) if applicable, within seven days. Please note that perishable (fresh or frozen) goods are not refundable in the event of order cancellation.
