Delivery to the UK, EU and Worldwide
We offer a range of delivery options covering the whole UK, EU and many countries worldwide, dispatched with major international courier companies. Please note that, in the UK (excluding Highlands), Next Working Day scheduled delivery refers to delivery on the day after dispatch of your goods, and not the day after the placing of your order.
Shipping charges stated at Checkout for orders which contain many items by the case will only be an estimate, as it may be necessary and/or cheaper to ship to you using palletized delivery. If we do decide to ship your goods on a pallet, we will contact you confirm both the final delivery cost and that your delivery premises are suitable for a large lorry with a tail-lift to unload.
We generally dispatch orders within 1 - 3 working days of receipt. If, for any reason, there will be a delay of more than 3 working days in the dispatch of your order, we will contact you by email to advise you of the reason for the delay and the expected day of dispatch.
Please note that delivery to some Scottish Highland and island areas often takes a minimum of 48hrs (two working days).
All delivery times cannot be guaranteed, and although we work with the couriers to ensure that deliveries are made on time, events beyond our control can occasionally mean that goods take an extra working day to arrive. Please bear this in mind when ordering fresh or frozen goods as, we unfortunately cannot guarantee the quality of these items when dispatched to non-UK Mainland (including many Scottish Highland) addresses.
During periods of extreme weather (snow, flooding etc.), or other major national/international disruptions, deliveries are likely to be (in some cases, severely) delayed. Delays may continue after conditions have returned to normal, due to backlogs at couriers' depots. During such periods we will place an advisory notice in a prominent position on our Homepage. Perishable (fresh/frozen) goods are ordered during such periods at customer's own risk.
UK delivery by the courier will take place at any time between 09:00 and 18:00. We unfortunately have no control over delivery and are unable to contact the courier to confirm exact delivery times. You will receive an automated email or text message when your goods are dispatched, and you will be able to track your parcel on the courier's website. If you do not see an email, please check your junk mail folder.
Unsuccessful delivery attempts by DPD may result in packages being taken to a local DPD DEPOT for customer collection. Packages will remain in the DEPOT for three days, after which they will be returned to us. Packages returned to us due to non-collection from an depot (for whatever reason) will be eligible for a refund of all non-perishable goods within, less a £10.00 return-to-sender charge, plus any applicable surcharges for packages dispatched to non-Mainland UK destinations.
Delivery charges are calculated when you checkout and are based upon your location and the weight of the goods in your basket. All charges are based on a maximum package weight of 20kg. A basket of goods amounting to more than 20kg will be treated as two or more separate packages, and the delivery charge will be multiplied accordingly.
